For Wikis
69% of Enterprise 2.0 installations cite "Increase Collaboration" as their primary goal
Give your customers what they are looking for - more collaborative capabilities.
Since wikis are the technology most often identified with Enterprise 2.0 Platforms, and "Increasing Collaboration" is the number one goal of these organizations, it's understandable that Enterprise Wikis are looking for ways to increase the collaborative capabilities of their tools.
Unfortunately, 36% of implementers cite "immaturity of technology" as a major shortcoming of Enterprise 2.0. Development teams in this field need to step up to the plate and make their solutions as collaborative and user-friendly as possible.

For Online Docs
Online Documents are growing in popularity, since they allow team members and partners to work from anywhere, collaborate on projects, and save time reviewing, editing, and revising. Unfortunately, versioning issues often cause end-users headaches, as they watch their recent changes disappear, their screens change unnaturally, and their content move out of place. These bugs are slowing the adoption of Online Documents as a viable solution for more main-stream users.

FAQ

What document types can UNA Merge handle?
UNA Merge operates on tree structured data, in a form similar to XML. If your data can be expressed in XML, then chances are, UNA Merge can handle it.
Rich-text and plain-text are two examples of document types that UNA Merge can deal with.
How easy is it to integrate UNA Merge?
UNA Merge has a nice clean API that is well-documented. However, integration times vary depending on the complexity of your data model.
We also provide integration service for an hourly charge, with an emphasis on high-quality and rapid turnaround.
How is this different than Google Docs?
Google Docs uses a semi-real-time collaborative merging algorithm, in which changes to one part of a document appear to other users editing the document after a substantial delay. Users who edit the same part of a document at the same time often clobber each other.
How is this different from Version Control?
In version control systems, users edit copies of a document. To create a version of the document containing the changes of all users who have edited it, the users must perform a merge operation.
Version control is a form of "offline" or "non-real-time" collaboration that encourages people to work on different areas, to avoid the pain of merging.
